Open mic to follow featured poets
 Join us as we welcome Jen Ashburn, Jason Irwin and Liz Glodek (recently moved to Washington, DC) and their poetry to Annapolis.  An open mic follows the featured poets; three minute limit.  Hiram Larew will emcee. 
Jen Ashburn is the author of the full-length poetry collection, The Light on the Wall (Main Street Rag, 2016), and has work published in numerous venues, including The Writer’s Almanac, Chiron Review, The MacGuffin and Whiskey Island. She holds an MFA from Chatham University, and lives in Pittsburgh. 

Jason Irwin is the author of A Blister of Stars (Low Ghost, 2016), Watering the Dead (Pavement Saw Press, 2008), winner of the Transcontinental Poetry Award, and the chapbooks Where You Are (Night Ballet Press, 2014), and Some Days It’s A Love Story (Slipstream Press, 2005). He grew up in Dunkirk, NY, and now lives in Pittsburgh.

Liz Glodek’s work has appeared in several journals, including Common Ground, The Greensboro Review, and The North. She was a finalist for the James Hearst Poetry Prize (North American Review) and her book, The Birds of Mississippi, is available from Finishing Line Press.
 
Hiram Larew is a member of the Folger Shakespeare Library’s  Poetry Board, and lives in Upper Marlboro.
