POETRY READING: REGGIE MARRA

On September 4, 2018 Reggie Marra sent one copy of his fourth volume of 
poems, Killing America: Our United States of Ignorance, Fear, Bigotry, Violence and Greed, to each member of Congress, the Supreme Court, the President and Vice President (30 friends helped fund the mailing). His previous work includes And Now, Still: Grave and Goofy Poems (2016); Coaching and Healing: Transcending the Illness Narrative (co-author, nonfiction, 2016); The Quality of Effort (nonfiction, 2nd ed. 2013) and This Open Eye: Seeing What We Do (poetry, 2006). Reggie has presented his poetry and workshops for the NEA’s Poetry Out Loud Program, the National Association for Poetry Therapy, the Transformative Language Arts Network, the New England Foundation for the Arts, and HealingNewtown. He hosted the 3rd-Friday readings at the Hudson Valley Writers Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY from 1997-2004 and coached basketball in the NYC Catholic High School League from 1975-1988.
